Re: What did we do before Facebook

Yea man..saturday morning "professional" wrestling with Lance Russell as the host...Bill Dundee, Tojo...The Fargo Brothers (Jackie Fargo and his brother Rough House Fargo), the Interns. I wondered for a long long time how to get someone in a step-over toe hold, I think I got my ex-wife in that hold one time but I'll save that story for another time, lol...

Can't forget about the fights we had with bottle rockets either, lol...ridin' wheelies on my Sting-Ray...Mom seems like she was always tellin' me..."Just wait till your dad gets home and he see's THIS!" Man those words right there always made me walk straight real quick. Now days it's me taking care of mom and dad, they're both 84 now...I definitely know the roles have been reversed...I cherish each and everyday I'm able to call them on the phone or go to their house and cut the grass or do some yard work, or fix a leaking toilet, or whatever it is, cause I know, just like the good old days mentioned above, these right here are the good old days I'm having today.

In defense of "some parents", no matter how many rules they enforce on their kids, no matter how many butt whippin's and disciplinary actions or no matter how much a parent is there for their kids giving them love, teaching them right from wrong, talking to them about God and stuff...no matter what...it seems to me that even good parents have kids turn out wrong, this seems to be happening more and more in today's society in my own opinion. I recently saw a bumper sticker that read something like this: "Teach your child to hunt, fish and trap and they'll stand a better chance of staying away from drugs." It read something along these lines anyway and I believe this to be true, I think the more a child is exposed to the salt of the earth and the laws of nature the better his or her chances are of succeeding in life.

Tim I agree and I will say this... All of the things you mention means your involved with your kids. Spending time in the woods, on the creek, in the boat or on the shooting range means real time with them. I think if you can manage that it's the best for both kids and parents.
My daughter and I play guitar hero, put puzzles together and when it's not as hot we hike or fish. When my ex isnt looking I take her out on the Harley so we can spend time together and I think when they see you in everyday situations and how you deal with them it means more than the teachings in school. JMO and I hope I'm close cause u only get one shot!!

Facebook is cool since it has put me in touch with friends from high school. I moved from that area many years ago so I lost touch. They used the search tools on facebook and found me. It's great to catch up with old friends.
You must be a lot older than me. I can't remember a time when we didn't have that stuff.

Of course, I'm not really sure where I ate dinner last Friday either.

You and Einstien are probably brothers from a different mother or something...ol' Einstein was smart as a tack but he didn't bother with remembering phone numbers or anything else that was easily referenced. In his opinion trying to remember stuff only clogged up the brain.
