i want to try fishing lake michigan anybody have any suggestions going up in sept will be stayin in merrilville ind .which in very close to lm ill be fishing from the bank no boat im souly a down south fisherman any info would be great if you have ever fished up that way thx

Cant Help on the Fishing but be careful.........Until recently Gary Indiana was the MURDER capital of the WORLD !!! for many many years............

I think you might be better off going to the indiana site, if I( remember there were no public SAFE fishing spots in gary.pastrick marina in east chicago In used to be open fpr shore fishing, but dont know now. If I were you I'd consider st joe michigan, its about an hour and a half further, or less. Used to live in that neck of the woods, but6 that was 17 yrs ago.Sept is a good bet for salmon from shore at night.
