I use Trilene big game exclusively at night. I fish mostly on rock and need the abrasion resistance.

Black lights are for those who can't feel their lures. You need to be able to fish them blind-folded and feel every rock and pick-up. I also swore off any lights at night years ago - black light, running lights, and minimize boat lights for gear changes. I got blasted on a recent post for speaking up and saying I only turn on my running lights when boats approach. This past weekend I was out Saturday night and there were plenty of pleasure boat traffic early on and at one point I turned my running lights on and left them on for a while with all of the activity. After a bit I also noticed I was not getting any hits and when the traffic died down I turned them back off and it seemed I started getting bit again. I am paranoid about lights at night...
