That's what I use for night fishing. It's the only florescent floro that I can find around here. Because of that, I don't have any other brands to compare it too, but it works good for me and the blacklight lights it up nicely, and you can feel a fish breathe on it.Just found out yesterday that trilen and stren are made a the same place now. This came FROM the manger of fishing at bass pro in clarksville. I fish trilen xl but i'm going to try some stren 100% florcarbon clear/blue. I hope i hate it. It's $22.00 for 200 yards . Anybody tried it yet.
I've used original Stren clear/blue fluorescent for years at night, now it's just habit.
Glad to see I'm not the only one having problems with the BPS Excel. I was pretty sure I'd gotten some that was old or just plain old bad line a few years ago after everyone I talked to pretty much told me that. Well I tried it again this year & the same thing happened again & it was 20Lb.test I tried both times. Trilene XL sure won't hold up for me other. In my opinion it's the most soft & limp line I ever saw with absolutley no abrasion resistance. Suffix Elite or Trilene Big Game are all I will use. Haven't broke a fish off on either one of them. I have tried Stren in the past & it done pretty well & P Line cxx was decent, but I broke it too. Do they just not make monofilament like they used to ???
