Protest Mosque at Ground Zero

I have just learned that The New York Historic Commission will have to approve the Muslim Mosque at Ground Zero before it can be built. The Mosque plan calls for a 13-story building to be built on this historical site.

If you would like to send a letter of protest asking the Historic Commission to reject ALL plans for the building of a mosque, this is the address. A NEW mosque being built on this historical sight, is not acceptable and defames the historical significanace of this hallowed ground. Americans were killed at that place, by Muslims, and we take offence at the mere suggestion of Muslims building a mosque in or near Ground Zero. That would be a slap in the face of all Americans.

Thanks Bug...I sent mine in and wrote almost word for word what you wrote except I added the following at the end of mine; "I realize the democratic vote rely's heavily on Mexicans and several other nationalities living here in the United States...but you still have to do what's right in the heart of the majority of American households."

Thanks for making this thread Bugs and providing that link. I decided to go ahead and send an email too. They will know I am from north of the border as I provided my correct info so it may just get tossed out. I wanted to show my support against building the Mosque at or near ground zero. Maybe it does help to see that folks outside the US think it is deplorable also. Hope it helps guys!

Today I saw pictures of protests in the streets against building a mosque at Ground Zero. The report said that more and more people are angry about it. Of course, the crazies came out in favor of it.

Great news about the protests Bugs. I googled and read the articles and saw some pics of the protesters. Good for them! Anybody who cant see the extreme bad taste of this lives in total denial of the truth. If they want to build a huge moque in NYC then build it somewhere else! It shouldnt matter to the Muslims where it is built so they can choose another site. But the Muslims will push for it built at ground zero due to symbolism of their victory of Sept 11th 2001 against the US.

First and foremost it's hard to believe that one single person in this country would even consider building a Mosque at ground zero, or for that matter anywhere else inside the borders of this good ol' U.S. of A. But let's say they DO build this Mosque at Ground Zero or anywhere else in our country, let them build it, let them fill it up completely...wouldn't it be great to have some trigger happy pilot flying an F-14 or an F-22 that would be more than happy to open on it in exchange for a cold 6-pack of Bud? Wait until the mosque is full of Allah worshipers and flip them the BIRD like they did us at Ground Zero.

Seems like anymore there's gettin' to be to much political correctness to suit me.
