To the ferry between locks 7,8, & 9?
Would anyone be interested in a small get together 1 night during the week for a winner take all from either the High Bridge area, Camp Nelson area or @ the ramp on Sulpher Well(39).

I've fished it for many years...maybe one of my favorite Ky. River areas! I've seen the largest Ky. spot bass caught there that was 5.4 pounds, I got her in the net for a collage room-mate at the time in 1988; she is on his wall... at his cabin on Beaver Lake...And I lost a muskie at the boat on a buzzbait (she was in my right arm for a moment) that was in the 50+lbs range. Im 6.1'...this muskie was about as long as me. I fished there for about 7 years very consistanly...and that was the second time only to hooked a muskie...in the keeper range!
Not much of a Muskie man, but dam thats huge. See alot of guys fishing for them tho.
yea....after she busted loose..and her teeth cut the line...I looked at my partner and said..."I just lost a fish of a life time". It was right up there with the state record...this was truly the big one that got away! I could fish for another 17 years there,..and I would be darn lucky to hook one like that again.
At the time...I thought my buddy had the state record spot...but come to find out...somebody caught a spotted bass from a farm pond that was 7 pounds??? Im very sceptable about that record though...I've seem a few 5+ pound spots from other anglers; And I did catch one myself on Green that went 4.9lbs (my largest)....but in all my life...not one that went over 6+...if this spot record would ever fall...it would seem to have to caught on Green River lake...Dale...or lake Cumblerland, maybe Barren...but even those places, you would be tough to find a spotted bass that topped the scales over 6+!!!!
Did you catch that muskie in the high bridge area of the KY River? I thought they were mainly further upstream more in eastern ky. But I guess all fish do travel around depending on water flows. Sounds like an exciting experience!I've fished it for many years...maybe one of my favorite Ky. River areas! They are in the entire river. Pool below lock 4 has produced several in the 30+ pound range in the last couple of years. I have not been so lucky though.
Those pools would be a nice place, would like some info, but so far Im in!
No info yet, just trying to get it going for fun. No sanctions or sponsors just a get together after work on a weekday like thursday's @ 6-9. Everyone throw in $10 a boat & winner takes all, maybe have a biggest fish. But thats about it really, just want to fish.
My flavor, camp nelson?
I fish that pool quite a bit but I never do any good.
But what the heck - I'll join you fellas for the fun of it.
