I have tried on several different issues a few times, and not only do they not listen they act quite, and I mean quite bothered by you when they are doing it to.
I tried to present my case about introducing the slot limit on smallmouth as it is on Dale. Many people I've talked to would support it totally. I would have made better head wave asking to take Steve Beshears wife out on a date.
I am not convinced a slot limit like that would work at Cumberland. For years they have tinkered with it at Cumberland and Dale. The bottom line is, those places are not Dale Hollow.
I wish all of them would go belly up!!!!
When did they ever tinker with the slot at Cumberland I must have missed that????
Those places are not Dale Hollow, well how do you think Dale got to be so good. Ask anybody in the know that fishes Dale and see if they don't tell you the slot limit was the best thing since sliced bread for that lake. Steven Headrick told me at the Strader show two years ago in his opinion it saved the lake and made it what it is today. I keep hearing this it won't work at Cumberland garbage but nobody gives me a legit reason why except, ''Well it's just not Dale Hollow''. WEAK argument in my humble opinion.
hey mhall, im like you i must have missed the slot limit....uh oh did i just incriminate myself? the only slot limit i have known of in this area is below the dam. i would like to see the posts on this thread continue to pile up...with as many different people as possible, and i will call the kdfwr regional fisheries mgr and direct them to this site/post. if this isnt regulated i dont think we will have anything to worry about in a couple of years anyway.
Yea with all the juvenile fish in that lake this year we aught to be ok, I hope. I assume that is what you meant. But you know why can't we have quantity and quality isn't that what we are talking about here. There are some VERY knowlegable fisherman on this site that it would really be in the department's best interest to at least here what they have to say.hey mhall, im like you i must have missed the slot limit....uh oh did i just incriminate myself? the only slot limit i have known of in this area is below the dam. i would like to see the posts on this thread continue to pile up...with as many different people as possible, and i will call the kdfwr regional fisheries mgr and direct them to this site/post. if this isnt regulated i dont think we will have anything to worry about in a couple of years anyway.
I'll tell you why they don't want the slot for smallmouth is the fishing clubs and tournament trails. For the same reasons they fought it hard at Dale, but Tennessee won the battle. Wouldn't everyone still be on the same playing field, would it be the end of the world if somebody couldn;t stand in line with five fish, maybe it would be just one or two. What's the big deal, I don't get it???
