Fished for a while this afternoon. We caught about 20 fish. All of them were caught super deep. I was dragging a Carolina rig through 20-30'. The Lake seems full of 2-3# fish this summer. Seems almost all of them are in that range. Biggest was barely a keeper at 18" and 3.1#. Kentucky this weekend so let's hoe they aren't 2-3# down there all weekend!

at what water depth does bluegrass and loon get thermoclines this time of year? i havent fished bluegrass in a while so i wouldnt know, and i hardly ever fish in the summer there...gotta have somewhere with trees and shade for me!
Steve it was real hot friday afternoon, i didnt caught a good fish untill about 7 pm (nice 4.8 lb bass) i went sunday and was caughting some good fish in about ten feet of water on a 10 inch worm, 4.2,3.5,3.2 lbs, evan broke one off. they were next to grass
I'd say right now it's at about 25-30'? Crappie are all holding at that depth right now and I'm pulling lots of bass out of the 20-25' range on the main lake. In the H I'm catching them anywhere from 8' to 25'. As for loon I really don't fish it that much but it's not even close to the depth of bluegrass. Main lake also seems to have grass at much deeper depths than last year for some reason.
