Pros - cheap enough to not break the bank, & still does the job.
Cons - suction cups eventually wear out & must be replaced
I've used this light on Full Moon nights at Taylorsville ... and caught Bass in less than 5ft of water, with the boat less than 15ft from shoreline. Used it on Cave Run Lake, moonless nights, and it makes 12lb fluor. Excel look like Ski RopeUsed it on Herrington, under all conditions, and caught Bass from right against the bank down to 20'.
Personally, I don't think a blacklight spooks fish ... at least it hasn't seemed to, in my experience. I've fished banks that had already been fished by several other boats (w/blk lites), and even banks that I was in line with several other boats fishing the same bank ... and caught fish in either case.
I'm a line watcher ... "worm fishin" for Bass or casting jigs for Crappie !! I'd much rather "see" a hit, than feel it ... for the simple reason that, if I can feel the hit, I'm sure the fish can feel the rod. And, I'd really rather that they didn't .. LOL !!
