Lake Wilgreen

Just figured id combine my first post of saying hi and a small report.

Well just got back from lake Wilgreen if anyone is interested and it was pretty clear and hot, not much seemed to be biting for anyone i talked to a couple of guys that said they had only cought a few early(between 6 and 7) on crank baits on the "main" part of the lake. Me i had no luck, but it was more lets see what happens when i take my boat that hasnt been on the water or started in two years kind of day- all and all worth it. hope this helps some people out.

Welcome to the board and good report. You dont hear alot about that little lake. I caught 2 fat keeper size bass last time I was down there off a crank suspended off of trees on the main lake. Did not figure em out until right before dark.

Welcome to the site Brandon. That lake can be very tough! I like it but when it gets as hot as it has been I won't even fish it. Have a few friends who fish it at night and do ok. Again welcome!

yea Ive heard it is hard to fish with the huge shad population, it has made the bass lazy. for the most part Saturday was just to get my boat out for the first time, if i caught anything it was a bonus.
