John Boat Mod

I've been searching the web for DIY mods, and there are thoushands of them. I'm curious to see if anyone has a mod they recommend, or have used along with pros/cons.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I built a front and back deck for my Jon boat. It really makes my 14.6" boat fish much bigger. Have not put carpet down but it is treated and I use a throw rug for the front that I take off when I'm done fishing that way wet carpet isn't an issue. Put a 55lb thrust foot control on the front that pulls great and the boat is wired for lights and many accessories.

There are all kinds of aluminum v's and flats from 10' to 18' modifications.

I modified my 12' jon boat the same as Don...I put front decking in, with a storage compartment door and carpeted it. I then took the back seat of the jon and carpeted it too.....it turned out really sweet. I loved that little boat...great for little waters. I was sad I had to sell it .
