I have one on my boat. It is not quite as powerfull as the magnetic base 2m power lights, but it has enough power. Like it because its mounted out front and no glare back off the boat. Remote controll makes it easy to aim and use. Stores compact and out of the way.

    Don,

Does the light stay put in the mount when you hit rough water? Had any electic problems with it? How long you had it?

I had one on my fish n' ski and it stayed mounted on some rough water. I really liked the remote control. It's great for spotting those big logs at Cumberland in the spring. It takes a lot of amps to run though. It's somewhere in the basement now. I bought a new pontoon in May and don't use it. It's mint condition. If you want it make me an offer.

    Sorry for delay in resp.

About two years. never had a problem in rough water. One note though, said it would fit most bow plug ins, but not mine (perko). I had to take the plug in out and file a little to get it to fit all the way down. I use it on the main battery and the motor keeps that battery charged. The motor is running at least 80% of the time you are using it since it's used mostly when underway. Like I said earlier, best part is the no glareback off the boat that you get with handhelds.
