[QUOTE=bassin_bug;424753][QUOTE=parker;424690]I am 44 and although I do remember saying the pledge of alegiance I cannot remember hearing a devotional in school. I asked my 13 year old and he said they still say the pledge everyday at his school. No need to worry
You should have paid attention in class. I must be somewhat older than you because they say it's the "young whipper-snappers" who know everything. I went to school during the days of "Little House on the Prairie." I have a 14 year-old and she clearly remembers their daily devotional (The 23rd Psalm), The Lord's Prayer, and The Pledge of Allegiance. It's too bad your son missed those golden nuggets. I hope you step up to the plate and teach them to him.
No further discussion is necessary.. All my children get their knowledge of the Bible at home with family and Church. I dont send them to a public school to achieve a greater understanding of their faith, I send them to get an education.
