Hi guys, I'm new to the bass fishing world so wanted to hit you guys up for some advice. I leave 10 mins from the ramp in Jeffersonville so the river is a quick place to fish for a few hours, any advice on where/how to catch bass in the river?
You need to discover striper fishing. You're sitting right on top of one of the best spots in the state. After your first 15 pounder, you won't care about green fish anymore.
You can find bass on the river year round in some of the major creeks. Attack a creek like you would a small lake. You will want to downsize your lures on the river. If you fish the main river, current is the key. Any type of current break is a likely ambush spot. The fish will hold on the down stream side out of the current and ambush prey as it washes downstream.
