I am trying to keep it simple and light weight because of the weight limits on the float plane.
This might sound crazy, but last year my buddies were tearing up the walleye with Cabin Creek pumpkin lizards. They ended up fighting over the last bag.

1/4, 1/2 and 1oz jigs with curly tail grub. tip with worms and/or minnows. some of the old timers up there will cut pike into strips and use them but i am not sure of the legality of this.

you will catch all the walleye you want on jigs like this and the occasional pike. my dad always uses chartreuse, or bright orange.

they also catch a lot of pike on the fly up there
