need help with an old fishin' movie

I can remember when i was a pup back in the mid to late 70's, watching a movie with my dad on tv. I believe the main character was fishing some kind of a tournament, maybe catchin trout. If I can remember correctly, I think all the fish he does catch was mostly accidents, like being over a limb and the lure dangling just above the water. I'm almost positive the movie was in color and may be a disney movie. Sorry I couldn't remember more but my memory just isnt what it used to be! Just hoping maybe someone know what movie i'm talking bout so maybe I can watch it again for the first time some day.

The movie your talking about was titled "OUT ON A LIMB" starring IKANT CAST, remember it well cause it reminded me so much of myself!

I don't recall the name of the movie but it is Doris Day and Rock Hudson. If you Google them you will be able to find the list of there movies. That way you will figure it out.

Thanks everyone! It is Man's favorite sport and I just made it number 1 on que from netflix. I should have it in a few days.

Good movie, and brings back some memories. I remember watching it when I was a kid at my grandmother's house. There was nothing else on and I half heartedly starting watching it. Ended up really liking it and have never seen it since. I'm going to put it on my Birthday wish list. Thanks for bringing it up.
