My son and I went out on Barren River today and landed another muskie. This one was a 40 inch male and he pulled our 12 foot john boat around some before we netted and released it.

Nice one, I have seen several while floating the river past 101 bridge, had a friend that feed one a pop r at the boat one time, it was over 40 in also saw one with a carp in its mouth just swimming along, have never laned one on the river but have lost some good plugs to some. Again congrats.![]()
Man!!
Wheres the best place to put in behind the dam?
I gaurantee that big bruiser pulled your all's 12 footer around for awhile...nice catch!
I remember the first and only Musky I ever tangled with. Bass fishin' at Green River Lake and caught it by accident. For the first few seconds I thought I had the bottom of the lake or thought I hung into a log or something, thought I was snagged...and then whatever was on the other end of my line started doin' as it pleased....finally got it in the boat, it was a couple of inches shy of being a keeper, but using regular old bass fishin' equipment it fought like the dicken's.
