She didn't spend a dime in tax dollars. This was a private trip, paid for with private funds. With a net worth of around $10 million, she can afford it. But even if you confine your search to things that are actually TRUE, you can still find some good reasons to criticize her.

I see your still supporting the joke in the whitehouse toad no matter how silly of a mistake they make. I believe the ironic thing is that when Bush was around any soldier killed was front page news and a leading story on the tv news...even tossed around here as stats. Bug does a post on it and all you can do is support Mrs Obamy with no mention of our soldiers....it's cool.
Does she travel the world without any tax payer supported secret service? I guess she flew coach and not on Airforce one??? Are we sure she didn't pay for other food and hotel rooms? So we are to believe that this woman with an unlimited supply of resources doesn't foot the bill for her friends??? Yeah right....
I find it ironic that the Dem party tries to be the party of the poor and yet here we are with a terrible economy and the whitehouse condones how many vacations for Mrs Obamy? Isn't it ironic? The party for the people is saying one thing about pulling together not going to Vegas (potus words)and wasting your money and all that garbage but travels the world and goes golfing and takes vacation after vacation.....oh wait I forgot it's ok because if I disagree with what our black president and wife does I'm a racist...Im catching on.

I don't believe for a minute that no tax dollars were spent, but whatever.
The rich are the rich, and will continue to be the rich...doing what the rich do...no matter how hard the times are.
The Prez and his "First Boo" should have spent more than 24 hours on the Gulf Coast "vacationing" if you ask me. I would have shacked up at a Days Inn for a week in Panama City or something and eaten at every seafood buffet in 100 miles.
Instead, 24 hours on the Golf Coast and a planned vacation to Martha's Vineyard. Ah well, I think that when it comes to public opinion Mr. Obama is already in "screw-it" mode. He knows he's a goner, might as well party like it's 1999.
If it were about public opinion and doing what's right and honorable, I think the money spent on Spain and Martha's Vineyard would be much better spent flying the Obamas to the visitations and funeral services of every one of those soldiers. I'd have no problem with an outlay of the cash for that...

Once again you're putting words in my mouth. I never said or implied I support "the joke in the White House." All I said was the statement that she was "spending YOUR tax dollars on fluff" wasn't true, and it's not. I've defended Bush against falsehoods that people posted, also. And I went on to say that there were some good reasons to criticize her that were actually TRUE, and there are. What I almost said was, "You make a good point, until you say that she's spending tax dollars." I should have left that part in, because you and Bug are right, taking this kind of vacation NOW, while we're actively engaged in at least one war, is, well how can I put it? STUPID? Politically tone deaf?
Tax payer supported Secret Service? Probably so. And the cost of protecting her in Spain would presumably go up, so THERE you've actually stumbled upon a valid criticism. Since the President wasn't aboard, it obviously wasn't Air Force One. But it WAS one of the planes that is used as Air Force One. The White House seems to be implying that the Obamas are paying all those operating expenses themselves, but haven't come out and said so. If they end up NOT paying them, THAT would be an outrage.
Who gives a rat's behind if she did? It's her money, isn't she free to spend it as she pleases? FYI the Obamas were wealthy way before Barry ran for President.

Honoring our heroes by bashing the First Lady with a joke of a post is really classy. Don't remember Laura getting it stuck to her like that but if anyone wanted to they could scrape the bottom of the barrel and "Honor our Heros" with a dig at Laura.

Oh come on RT...at the first sign of anything critical of this administration you come off with stats trying to prove why GW was worse or did the same thing. Deny it as much as you want but I'll stand by my statement.
It was very clear you said not a dime of taxpayers money was spent and that just wasn't true....I just thought you should reconsider your post.
Not sure why you would get pissed about fact on racism claims when someone disagrees with this black potus. It's true and anyone who follows politics knows this. I was also implying she footed the bill with tax payers money not hers. I could care less how she spends her money or what she does with her kids. Its her business but I just don't believe that I somehow didn't pay for something with this woman. I don't like or trust her Barry. They are crooked......

George W. Bush is today making his final visit to Camp David as president.
He will likely miss the place: According to CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller, today's trip marks Mr. Bush's 149th visit to the presidential retreat. The planned three-day stay, during which the president is being joined by family and former and current aides, will bring his total time spent at Camp David to all or part of 487 days.
Yes, that's 487 days. And Camp David is not even where the president has spent the most time when not at the White House: Knoller reports that Mr. Bush has made 77 visits to his ranch in Crawford during his presidency, and spent all or part of 490 days there. I thought you guys might really know who likes vacations! 2 years and 6 months on vacation! LOL LOL!

Come on dude, you don't see a problem with the post title being "Honor our heroes" and you click on it and it contains the names of 12 men that died in combat this week and the details of Michelle Obama's vacation. It had absoutley nothing to do with Honoring our heroes but to try and paint Michelle Obama in a bad light because she was on a trip when this happened.
Like RoadToad said if you want to bash/complain about her you could do it with facts, opinions........... about a myriad of things but to tie the above two things together for that purpose is just wrong IMHO and I found the post to be very disingenous and classless.

Okay, You need to convince the taxpayers that Michelle Obama OWNS Air Force 2, the plane she flew on, round trip, to Europe and paid all the costs for it. You also need to convince the taxpayers that the 70 Secret Service Agents who accompanied her were on her private payroll.
How much do you think that cost her from her private funds?
I do hate to hear Obama say that he has compassion on the unemployed people and those that are suffering through this horrible economic crisis; that he is an average American and feels for them. He and Michelle have really set themselves apart as the example for CHANGE.
My initial post was to call attention to the fact that "The Whitehouse Snob" was playing (without restraints) while our troops were paying.........with their lives. Of all people, the wife of The Commander in Chief should be more sensitive to the plight of this nation and our military. jmo
