Did you have any luck at Cedar this week. Thinking of going in the mouring.
Hey gene, how'd you do?
Fished from 6am till 1:30, water was 81 degrees. Lost count on the fish had arounrd 18 to 20 fish no big fish in the boat this trip. Did have 2 at 3lbs and several 2s and all the way down to 4". Had a big fish break me off on the hump but never got to see it. Now here is what I want to know! When did they put Grass carp in here? I never fish the banks in the summer time so I have never notices them. After I saw the first one I started watching for them and saw 4 more all around 4' foot long. Oh ya all fish were on shaky heads and babybrush hog and you know what colors.
I think they put them there last year. I saw a lot this spring.Fished from 6am till 1:30, water was 81 degrees. Lost count on the fish had arounrd 18 to 20 fish no big fish in the boat this trip. Man I hope this is not another Beaver lake mistake all over. Beaver lake was a Great fishery before they put the grass carp in there, 10' bluegill was the norm and 14" shellcrackers wern't uncommon and if you did not have a least 1-5lb bass in the boat is was not a good day. Field and Stream had It ranked the 3rd best lake in the state. The lake never has recovered.
