Defense mechanism, they get startled easy - like a fainting goat (which is hilarious if you've never seen it) And I did want to say that following too close to someone while on a take of in a tournament can get you a face load of fish real quick on the Ohio River

The could make for fun shooting sport. With a shotgun with little choke so its not dangerous to others at a distance you could have a ball. It might replace skeet shooting as the popular sport.

Or if you want an even better workout how about batting practice.
