get pissed!Guess I'm just not as much of a man as you Embry. Oh well. LOL.
Me personally, I would at least offer to show a guy what to do if I knew. If I don't know, why is it so hard to just leave this thread alone? Instead. You are trying to make me feel like an idiot on this forum and make me feel I don't deserve to be out fishing. I mean by now, if you were paying attention to what I HAVE BEEN saying, instead of your own personal gain, you would see the problem. But that's ok, there are plenty on here who have already helped me out. Guess those people are much more of a man than you then, huh? Don't worry Embry, you may have ticked me off a little, and I'll get over it, but Jesus loves you. He understands you even if I don't.
Don't worry about him Arauthator.....he is one one of those guys on here that puts others down..... i.e his comment on taking young kids fishing.....and by his OWN account usually doesn't figure out how to catch fish when its gets tougher to catch them.
what are you talking about?lol. when have i said dont take young kids fishing? dont think ive put anybody down either?
Well.....a couple of weeks ago there was a thread about tx's for young kids....specifically about a six year old......and you said "takea six-year old tx fishing, really". Also, from what I have read in the thread about loading the boat your "tone" of voice was very harsh towards the fella. Each is their own, and if he can't load his boat that way at that particular ramp, then who are you to tell him otherwise....especially if you haven't been to the ramp to see it first hand. I am no Saint and have questioned others on here....so take my point of view with a grain of salt if you'd like!
i didnt mean to not take a kid fishing. to me i wouldnt put a kid in a tourney. kinda puts the wrong reason on fishing like you have to win at it or something. just my opinion which dont mean anything. a kid should learn to fish for fun ,at least while theyre young.and ive witnessed many times and done it myself loading a boat with a trollin motor and havent ever seen it not work at a public ramp. no harm meant! lolWell.....a couple of weeks ago there was a thread about tx's for young kids....specifically about a six year old......and you said "takea six-year old tx fishing, really". Point taken on the tx thing.....guess I didn't think of that way. I've loaded a boat like you mentioned and it worked just fine also....in this instance maybe the ramp makes it more difficult??? Have you been on Patoka lately?? We qualified for the USA BASSIN regional and can't decide if we want to go or not...fishing been any good down there? It was super tough last year....we were one of only three boats to get a limit!
****, sudden change of heart? lol. yeah, i go there alot...it comes and goes. in all, ive done real well this year. everything changes all the time it seemsPoint taken on the tx thing.....guess I didn't think of that way. No, not a change of heart. I still think that if he needs to load his boat that way (and doesn't get a ticket) thats his parogative. On the kid/fishing thing.....yeah, I misunderstood what you were saying.
I had a 2005 BassTracker at one time. It was easy to load with the Trolling Motor, so I know how do that. I'm not a complete beginner. But this trailer, on this ramp, with my truck won't let it get close enough to pull it up, because of the water line. Back in the spring when the water level was up, I used the trolling motor to load it. I was fine then. But now, I have to get the trailer farther down the ramp for the water level to be high enough for the boat to even float up there on the trailer. Well, the truck, and it's a 4 x 4 even, it's tailpipe is just barely above the water line. You don't want to get that tailpipe underwater. So, it don't matter how fast your trolling motor floats you up to the trailer, once you get that tailpipe about an 1/8" off the water line, wherever the front of the trailer comes out of the water, that's what you are left to work with. The only thing strong enough to get the boat close enough for the winch at that point, is the gas motor. Two people can't even pull it up close enough with ropes. The only problem here, is the water line is too low right now because of this drought we are having. If it was higher, I'd have no problem using the trolling motor. This is why I said earlier, you would have to be there to see what is going on. The only option I have to keep from taking a chance on getting a ticket, is to not go to that lake. Which is fine by me, I'd rather be at Patoka, but my fishing buddy doesn't have the time to go that far usually. Deams Lake is only 20 miles for us.
