Some people no matter how young or how old just don't belong on the water.

I know most of us on here have had people in pontoons or jet ski's run thru a point we are fishing, well this weekend something happened to me that I never thought was possible. My son was fishing a point with a deep diving crankbait, and he had been catching some fish, well, along comes a pontoon, slowly, with some elderly couples aboard, they keep coming, I am hoping that they will see my son casting, and turn and go around us, since they had the WHOLE lake too, but not a chance, they kept coming, well my son was getting very antsy, because he was fishing a tournament and was doing pretty well, I told him to be patient, dont sling your bait at them, they are elderly, and probaly just dont know any better, boy was I suprised, not only did they not turn, they stopped in front of us, not 40' dropped anchor and started fishing, I just sat there in disbelief, I really couldnt believe it, and my son just about had a cardiac arrest at 17. We sat there for a moment discussing what we should do, and to my sons credit, he said, Dad, they have been around alot longer than us, lets just move and not say anything. We left, but I had to make a comment to them before I did, and I said it as nicely as I could, then tilted the motor, and took off. It was unbelievable!

Have had that happen more times than I can count here on the big lakes, especially during the times the Crappie are staging up on the points. When it first happened I was a lot younger and would just let it go...not so young now and I have come to realize that being older is no excuse for bad manners....or ignorance.
There are no age limits on stupidity.
You had to be on Rough River when that happened. It sounds exactly like something that would happen at the Pontoon Capital of the World (Rough River).
sounds to me like your son has a good head on his shoulders.
It seems more and more common that folks are discourteous on the water. But still there is no reason to lose your cool.
I don't really know what to say. I have never had that happen.
stupid people don't just drive pontoons, they also drive jet skis, runabouts, crusiers and bass boats. Everybody is in a hurry and some don't have any respect or show any consideration for anyone. Remember...do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Sorry, some on this board would disagree but i would have fired up my boat and circled them about 3 times and then drove to me another fishing spot ! Stupid and rude are two different things !
carolina rigging every line they throw out seems to raise an eyebrow...
