Laurel river lake

I may be heading down this fall, october/november, where is the best place to put in? Also I will be looking for someplace to stay. Thanks in advance

The grove and craigs creek ramps are pretty steep...

I have never put in at Holy Bay but I am guessing (based on lay of the land) that its not so steep.

Good luck catching fish, wish I could give you some tips but I strike out or do pretty good at Laurel and can't figure out why?

If your looking for marinas then you have Holly Bay or Grove Marina. It just really depends on what end of the lake you would like to go to and what type of boat your are launching. I personally like Groves ramp better but use Holly Bay more because I live closer. The are many other ramps that are accessible and just as nice, but you don't have the marina. There is also Flatwoods or Marsh Branch which are really nice ramps. You can stay in London or Corbin which are both about 10 miles from the lake.

Put in at Grove or Holly Bay, it's "risky" (to be nice) to leave anything elsewhere IF you value it.........
