Resourceful thinking. A two noodles slipped over a marine antenna goes a long way to fend off distracted boaters. This thing was visible all the way across the lake. The operator said he has been stopped by curious water patrol a few times

With the number of boats I have seen photos that had run way up the bank at night I might go by wal mart and get some noodles. I think I would wrap some reflective tape around it in several places, not sure if there is much light to reflect out there at night though. In the meantime will keep spotlight pluged and ready to turn on at all times when fishing at night

This only works when you are dealing with considerate boaters.

A 3ounce triple treble hook lead salmon snagging weight also does a good job
