The past several years I have made a trip of fishing ken lake around the last week of Oct. The conditions are beatifull, and all the hunters are covered with deer urine in a tree somewhere ( no pun intended), so the lake is open everywhere. I have always caught alot of fish, maybe not all bass, or a couple hundred yellow bass, but fun fall fishing. Anyway my situation I run into is the shad transition! Its unbelievable, catching 2 at a time on my trebles, and can make the conditions frustrating. I coundn't beleive it the first time I seen the amount of shad in that lake in the back of creeks! What suggestions do any of you guys have on fishing them condition where the bass have a smogasboard? I have always fished the spring for a week as well and had a blast, but I'm havig 2nd thoughta about this fall? Dave what do you think, how do you adjust? Thanks fellas.
