Stoner ?

I would like to take my father to fish Stoner. My ? is: I have a 20 foot Ranger, where is the best place to put in Ikes or Frymans? Who has the best ramp and parking?

I launch my 19 foot Outlaw in both pools. Parking is about equal at both ramps. Ikes ramp is fairly steep with the water down and Frymans has a small drop at the end of it. I would go to Frymans if I were you and throw the heck out of a jig and crankbait. FYI both pools are SLOW right now from what I hear.

Frymans would be the best bet this time of year and forward into cooler weather. Go into Frymans ramp at a slight down stream angle and its all good.
Should you go left toward the dam becareful (theres a dam less than half mile down) Go right and you can run to the split, I would keep to trolling motor only beyond that (either fork). Both forks offer good cover with good fishing...good luck, let us know how you do.

Took dad over to Stoner yesterday. Have a great time on a nice creek.
Fishing report: Score, Dad 10, Me 3. Dad caught all his on a wacky rigged worm. He had no keepers. All were from 8 to 11 inches. I had three keepers. Caught them on a shakey head. Had one 12", one 14" and one 15 1/2". Thanks guys for the info you gave to us.
Great little creek and will fish it again soon.
