Spent 5 hours bass fishing all around Indian Creek all the way up to Rowena this evening and didnt see one single striper floundering on the surface. We did see 17 bloated stripers that were faded out and probably 3-4 days old. We did see 5 walleye that were very recently deceased they still had alot of color in their gills. This is the first day since August 29th that we havent seen a striper swimming upside down on the surface.....i hope this is a good thing. most of the water we fished this evening bounced from 81 to 82 degrees, a big change from the 87-88 degree water from just a week and a half ago. Another thing we noticed was several dead alewives , very big alewives, have they suffered the same distress as the stripers? dont know for sure,i just dont remember dead alewives in fish kills of years past. Anyway heres to things maybe looking up!
