    Thumbs up Buzzbait bite...

Looks like the buzzbait bite is really starting to pickup, at least at Nolin. Went yesterday evening and was throwing a 1/2 oz white buzzbait along shoreline rip/rap and was nailing fish! Nothing huge, I figure the big ones will be a little longer till they make it up shallow, but lots of 12-15", with a couple keepers. Really fun stuff! Love the buzzbait! Just look back in creeks and bays, lots of fish!

    Re: Buzzbait bite...

I caught my first bass ever on a buzzer a few weeks ago at Nolin, granted I don't throw them much. But I have been back a couple of times since and have caught em early on buzzers everytime. All little ones though, and if I go to plastics/jigs in the same area I seem to catch bigger fish. Any secret to catching bigger fish on top water?

I have been doing well with them as well. caught 6 Largies last night on a 1/4 ounce in a pond it was fun. quite possible the most addicting part is watching them come up and rip them =)

Just a little more time and those biggins that are hanging out in 8-10ft of water will move up as well. You still will have to weed through the shorts, but you will start to catch more keepers as fall progresses. Run that buzzbait into shoreline stucture and HOLD ON!!! WAMMMO! Man....nothing funner than catching 'em on the buzzer!

Got it... thanks, yeah never had much confidence in them, but now that I've caught a few I will throw it more this fall.

try using a high rider brand buzz bait seems to attract the larger ones for me. You'll get some short strikes from the smaller ones but it really pi--es off the bigger ones!

Man High Rider Buzzbaits are all i have ever owned as far as buzzer's go..Nothing beats a High Rider in my opinion..Them dual blades just seem to make the right sound and they stay up on top ofthe water easier it seems to me.... Best river buzzer i ever caught fish on.....
