Louisville Attractions?

Hey Parker, if you are into the party scene 4th. Street Live is pretty cool on the weekends. Slugger Museum is cool as is the Fireamrs museum practically across the road. The Ali center is areally cool as well and you can spend most of a day there. As for food, Mike Linnings is a good deal with a great atmosphere. Also Porcini's has a special that involves aged snapper stuffed with 15 second Italian Sausage!

Ditto on most of teh food selections on the list above... to it I add

Italian... Rocky's or La Gallo Rosa (Bradstown Rd area)
Hibachi.. Blue Sake or Kanzai (which is actually in IN by BPS)
Moderate Priced stuff... KT's and get teh Hot Brown
J.Alexanders is nowhere near as good as it used to be
Ditto's is awesome and so is Morris Deli

Best Breakfast in Town is at Lynns Paradise Cafe (as seen on The Food Network's Throwdown w/ Bobby Flay), but it is a little pricey...

and in a month or so Cherokee Park lake and Tom Wallace Lake will be stocked with raindows... catch em on corn...

My favorite Italian is the Come Back Inn on St. Catherine. The name doesn't sound Italian, but the food is awesome!

Ok boys if I come down next May for Thunder and the Kentucky Derby who is going to take me out for Chinese and Italian food? My 2 favourites. Since I am Irish I love the sound of those Irish bars downtown. Sounds like fun!

I love that place! I haven't been there in several years though. My family used to go there a couple times every summer.

RoadToad - I may have to try that place just for the Mexican Cokes. A grocery store sells it here, and I love it. It is just like the cokes were when I was younger. Glass bottles and real sugar. I think when they did the switch to new coke, then back to classic they introduced High Fructose Corn Syrup to the recipe - and it has never been the same. Mexico still uses good ole sugar.

Can you tell that louisville folks eat out more per capita than almost any city?

For Italian, I like Ray Parella's on Frankfort or Rocky's across the river in Indiana or Come Back Inn at the corner of Breckinridge & Swan. CBI's meatball sandwich is frickin' AMAZING!

Pizza -- I'm not sure what the place is near Shogun because I'm not in that area too often. sorry.

Parker, you have to understand that I am a big Louisville fan, but well...google the Rick Pitino trial and you will see what the joke is!
