Also Porcini's has a special that involves aged snapper stuffed with 15 second Italian Sausage!
I heard it was "goldie" fish and a Slim Jim?

I wonder how much business Porcini's has picked up as a result of all that?

LMAO! You got me good. I didnt put the restaurant with Pitions 15 seconds of fame, and the aged snapper! I might try aged snapper from the menu but im CERTAIN I wont like their sausage.

I can vouch for the food there too...I kind of got stuck in a rut and kept ordering the same thing every time I went, Italian Crab Cakes and a House Salad with house specialty Blue Cheese Dressing...whew!! The actual bar itself at the St Catherine location is older than the hills, very unique, nice wood and mirrors, lots of character.

Toad - If you like Italian at a good price, another place you might want to try is a place called Amicci's over on Ormsby...it's got a little more bang for the buck, just in case if you want to impress your date. The last time I went there I saw Paul Hornung and his crew. Believe me...if I went there it probably don't cost much

I've been trying to go to all the best restaurants in Louisville and you guys gave some good spots to try. So far the top 3 that I've been to have been Ruths Chris, Jack Binions, at the boat, and Jeff Ruby's. Jack Frye's is up there too but you must have cash. Me and the Missus like to live it up once and awhile and splurge.

    I like DelFrisco's steaks better.

As for activities, how about belly dancers on Frankfort Ave tonight?

They may have better steaks but you have to take into consideration other things such as service and amenities. When I pay good money I expect more than good food!
