I heard it was "goldie" fish and a Slim Jim?Hey Parker, if you are into the party scene 4th. Street Live is pretty cool on the weekends. Slugger Museum is cool as is the Fireamrs museum practically across the road. The Ali center is areally cool as well and you can spend most of a day there. As for food, Mike Linnings is a good deal with a great atmosphere. Also Porcini's has a special that involves aged snapper stuffed with 15 second Italian Sausage!

I wonder how much business Porcini's has picked up as a result of all that?
Gills if I wasn't married I'd be all over this and throw a fishin trip in to! A woman that's funny and fishes to is hard to pass up. Chuck
Thanks Chuck you are a sweetie for saying that.![]()
LMAO! You got me good. I didnt put the restaurant with Pitions 15 seconds of fame, and the aged snapper! I might try aged snapper from the menu but im CERTAIN I wont like their sausage.![]()
I can vouch for the food there too...I kind of got stuck in a rut and kept ordering the same thing every time I went, Italian Crab Cakes and a House Salad with house specialty Blue Cheese Dressing...whew!! The actual bar itself at the St Catherine location is older than the hills, very unique, nice wood and mirrors, lots of character.
Toad - If you like Italian at a good price, another place you might want to try is a place called Amicci's over on Ormsby...it's got a little more bang for the buck, just in case if you want to impress your date. The last time I went there I saw Paul Hornung and his crew. Believe me...if I went there it probably don't cost much![]()
I've been trying to go to all the best restaurants in Louisville and you guys gave some good spots to try. So far the top 3 that I've been to have been Ruths Chris, Jack Binions, at the boat, and Jeff Ruby's. Jack Frye's is up there too but you must have cash. Me and the Missus like to live it up once and awhile and splurge.
Ruths Chris is over rated...better steaks than RC...
Buck's on Ormsby

I like DelFrisco's steaks better.
As for activities, how about belly dancers on Frankfort Ave tonight?
