Most likely can be there.
I'd say 50/50 at this time. Anyways, you just have to set a date and go with it. There will always be competing events for each individuals time.
Elwood has agreed to head it up again if thats what we want....I think the whole thing was really well thought up and put together last year and he put a ton of work into it and did a GREAT job....I, for one, have no problem with him heading it up again....I think most of us will agree that the door prizes were awesome....we had a ton of donations and items bought with the door prize money...I vote that we do it again....Let me know what you all think about the door prize idea again this year....the way this weather's going it might be better to do it after the new year....in December it might be 85 and sunny instead of 25 and dreary
Count me in on the door prize, I agree they were great.
For those of us that are new to the forum can someone give us a rundown of what happens, how much it costs, how long it runs for, etc?
DAVE
Last year we went Fri, Sat, Sun and most of us stayed in cabins at horse creek.....I stayed in the big cabin which slept 10 and we all split the cost....don't remember the exact amount but it wasnt much for the 2 nights...for the door prize we all put up I belive 20 bucks....someone can correct me if I'm wrong....everybody got more than $20 worth of FNF jigs, bobbers, some jigs, some crankbaits, siliver buddies, and a ton of stuff....then there were a few grand prizes....there was an all pro FNF rod, a guided trip on KY Lake that was generously donated by Dave Stewart, a boat recarpeting that was donated by another board member and tons of stuff.....We also had Elwood aka Elnutsmalljaws speak on the FNF and Steve Headrick the smallmouth guru speak on smallmouth and Dale Hollow....It was an excellent time to be had by all...If you want more details you can send a PM to Elwood
It was $25 a night per person to stay in the big cabin. It is a nice big cabin too. I was comfortable there. If we can get it again I will be staying there again. Had a great time last year and I am in for the door prizes again if Elwood decides to do them.
well I`m in again this yr,,hope nothing goes wrong like last yr. I`ll give up another carpet job for a door prize again. I`m guessing my son will want in on this too. Didn`t get to meet all you last yr,so looking forward to it this yr.We are planning trip to Dale in Nov. So when Elwood gets ready to get it all together I`ll send him a card....
Doug we apprecite you being generous enough to donate last year and this year....its people like you that made it possible last year and can hopefully make it as much fun this year as it was last...I think I speak for everybody when i say thank you
I will try and make it pending my work schedule.
