    Re: Preferred Rod Grips

I have a few of each. For bottom bouncing stuff (jigs, t-rig and c-rig) I really like the split handle. I like the foam, but I like the cork too - they both have advantages. The cork transmits vibrations a little easier, the foam is better when wet, and softer on the hands.

I like a full cork for some things too - especially tossing out deep crankbaits - it just feels more comfrotable with the cork fighting the constant pull of the crankbait.

I just wish they would soften up the very end of the rod - I get bruises on side of my chest on days where I catch several.

I've tried the split grip a few times but just can't get adjusted to them. Went back to the full cork grip (falcon & loomis).
