There is a wealth of information here... all my knowledge is well over a week old and this time of year Barren changes daily. A week ago i saw LOTS of shad way shallow but not too many large fish followin em up yet. I ended up catchin my only descent fish off main lake and secondary points with a Series 5 Sexy Shad Crank...

BUt there is a cold front movin thorugh Saturday morning... if you are there pre-front... i would throw buzz baits way early and move deeper as the say moves along. If the front keeps it cloudy you should have a good day.

Now if the front moves through before you are on teh water... its gonna be TOUGH... high blue skies, wind, post front slow down on teh feeding, but you can still catch em... go to teh points, and creek channels leading into the bays where you see shad... and throw cranks, jerkbaits, and carolina rigs...

(carolina rig is a new technique to me... but others claim to be catchin em on that rig even on tough days at Barren)
