You can use almost any plastic on a carolina rig, its not just for lizards you know.Carolina rig is used to drag across the bottom, making noise and throwing up mud and debris. So any prey item that is close to the bottom can be mimicked with a carolina rig and a plastic bait that resembles it.
It looks like it would be great on a carolina rig. Do you know if it floats? I rarely vary from the Charmer Timber Pups on a carolina rig - but this one looks like it is worth a try.
It seems it would be more useful on a fast presentation than a slow one... maybe the rage tail lizard would be a good choice here as well
