Bigger Cats around Bowling Green????

Hey guys just looking to see if anyone can steer me in the right direction as to where to find some Bigger cats around BG

I know about green river barren lake etc but im limited to barren river and drakes in franklin due to the fact i only have a trolling motor for my boat.

I have been on the river a bunch this year but havent really found anything over 3-4 lbs and im not really looking for monsters.. just something round 10-20 lbs to catch with a pole and have some fun.

Ought to be some decent sized flatheads in Barren up river from Weldon Peete in the snags. I would bet it is an under-utilized fishery.

You tried out below the L&D off of 185? I think it might be No. 5 but I could be wrong. There is a ramp below right there past that little store on 185 and if you go further down though there there is a ramp above the L&D too but it is right above and I wouldn't try it if there is much current if all you have is trolling motor. You might get to see it up close and personal.

Try in Shanty Hollow Lake while you are up that way. I have no idea if there are decent cats in it or not but a call or email to Eric Cummins and he can tell you.

Drakes in Franklin above the dam has been stocked with blue cats. I caught some this spring that were close to 4 lbs. Give them another year or three and they will be around 10.
