I fished it several hours on Wednesday. No bass. No hybrids. No catfish. No panfish. It gets to keep its title of "The Dead Sea."

I'm in Bardstown and was planning on taking my boat out there tomorrow. What's rockin? the bass or blugill fishing? I typically NEVER catch nothing there but I'm just wanting to take my new boat out. Heck, I live on Hubbards Lane so it's only 1/4 mile from me.

The Bass fishing has been good, a lot of people out there fish for bluegill but I don't know why as they are pretty small.

Fish down the points with crankbaits right now. I might head out there for awhile myself and might see ya.

I never caught too many blue catfish before i got on these in taylorsville. One thing i've noticed is they really smack it good.I'm not an expert but i'd say they eat shad almost exclusively in the lake. They love cut shad.

yes they do. I would say the bulk....prolly around 70% of my catch are blues with the remainder being channels. I have yet to catch a single flathead in 6 yrs. So far my biggest has been 15 lbs....2-3 of them all on jugs. If I catch anything bigger, I'll be chasing them for a while. My noodles will hold anything up to about 8 lbs pretty decent. Anything over and I got to chase them down after they go under on me a couple times. And that's ok b/c it only adds to the excitement.

I just found out my kids are out of school next week so me and my boy will hit it at least 3 times next week. Gonna try out the "Hump" and maybe still between Chowning and Van Buren. I'm also still looking at the map and may try the big bend on it for the first time.

well you cant just go fish a lake one time an give up on it. The lake does have great fishing in it but the lake is one of those lakes you have to work to catch fish. Another thing is there are plenty of big blue cats in that lake. 50 pounders been caught. So i have seen this out of taylorsville. 10lb bass 2.25lb crappie, 51 pound blue cat. I know that the hybrids are there also. Yes there is a whitebass run an there is plenty of great crappie fishing. jus got know where a few trees that the old white headed crappie master aka slick nickle fishes (: yes the shorts are biting an the big fish are sluggish but when the sun goes down its a different ball game.

Well, me and the kids just got back from 4 hours on T-ville. We had 30 hooks in the water at all times on noodles and only got 1 single bite...about 3/4 pounder. WE fished the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bends past Chowning to Settlers Trace. We had hooks soaking for an hour each time. I reckon the cats are done til Spring. Fish or not, it was a BEAUTIFUL day to be on the lake. It was also the first time I had taken my daughter out on it and was a-squealin' when I opened it up. Had a great time.

Might go back and still try the Hump next week. Putting some trailer guides on in 5 minutes b/c this new boat is a PITA w/out guides.
