Hey,

A few weeks ago, I though I was going to have to replace my onboard charger because it was "boiling" my batteries and not shutting down to a trickle correctly.

Well, this past weekend, I had a minor incident, where I had to replace my battery trays, etc, etc. Basically the came unhinged due to some PAINFUL Barkley lake wave jumping.

At any rate while pulling the batteries, and checking all the terminals, I noticed the connections for the charger leads were in pretty bad shape. I checked them over and did some continuity checks and determined the connectors were shot. Actually, looking at the connectors was enough of a determination.

I replaced all my connectors, cleaned the batteries, cleaned the posts, cleaned the trolling motor leads, etc, etc.

Long story short.......my charging system now is working AS EXPECTED, and I believe the charger is shutting down to a trickle as it is supposed to.

Something to Check, if you guys are having issues with batteries or chargers.

Later,

Geo
