I figure it is mainly flat farming country with nothing to see. But BC coast is nice isnt it.

I want to see the 3 big Great Lakes some day. Great for a holiday and fishing. I mean I have been to Lake Ontario and Erie cuz they are closer but the 3 big ones are beautiful I hear. Great cottage country. So you and your Mrs just come on up here and enjoy the scenery and fish that you can keep and throw on the grill.
Gills, you will be surprised if you see all 5 of The Great Lakes (Huron, Michigan, Superior, Ontario, and Erie). They hold 21-22% of the world's surface fresh water and have a total surface of 80,545 square miles. Most of the blizzards in that area come off of Lake Michigan. My great-grandmother lived in Alberta and is buried there. My husband and I want to take the 1,200 mile train ride across Canada; we have seen part of it but I hear that it is absolutely beautiful from one end to the other. That's on our "bucket list" of things to do before we die.

Hey Bugsy, I love that idea of a Bucket List and really need to make one too. I think that is great to do a big trip like that most likely when hubby retires eh? Oh get use to hearing eh especially in eastern Canada. hahaha You will most likely be taking VIA rail across Canada and will get lots of sleep through Manitoba and Saskatchewan and also a good book will be necessary. I am not one for miles of flat land. I am into oceans and mountains. Alberta is a great province and I miss it. Nice friendly people and low humidity and not crazy hot and big fat fluffy clouds and the Rockies which are beautiful. I bet you both will have a wonderful trip together. Yes I must get over to those 3 big Great Lakes and check them out. I want to get a boat out on them and spend days out on the water. I just love water. So peaceful and relaxing. Oh one thing I also want to do is take the train through the mountains. I hear the train is actually on the side of the mountains and they have glass roof so you can look up and see everything. I have heard that is quite amazing and it is highly recommended.

Fall isn't my favorite time of year (Spring is) but I do welcome the cooler water temps and topwater bite. We had a great day of action yesterday on buzzbaits!

I love the spring and I love fall but hate what is coming ELNUTS alberta clippers.

Bug I had a friend that took the canadian train ride you are talking about they had a good time thought it was a litle long but were glad they did it. Then came back via the U.S. Amtrack and said it was bad experience and would not take Amtrack again.
