Yep. Same schedule every year. They start a slow draw on Sept. 15 and pull the plug on Oct. 15 every year. That doesn't mean you won't catch any fish. They will still eat.

Now that I don't know. Just have to wait and see what kind of day mother nature offers. Don't forget about a jig and buzzbait.

    Re: nolin draw down

I agree that most years they let some out in september to check the gates and then oct 15 start really dropping towards winter pool--but this year i guess with the drought latley i havent noticed any drop in water level for sept. And water level is holding at about a 1/2 foot below summer pool. Anyone wanting to keep a eye on water levels for nolin and some other lakes go to the fishing report on here and to the left it says {todays water level} or something like that. It is updated every day and pretty accurate. Later jc

They close dog creek ramp when water level gets below the bottom of the ramp and when its at winter pool theres only a small creek that runs through there

Rebel crawdad crankbaits have worked since the '70's when they start pulling the lake

The crayfish freak out big time when the water is dropping and scurry everywhere!
