2 weeks ago was fishing around Jameston on Cland striper fishing and I laied one of my rods on top of my t-top to fish with another. A friend of mine in the boat went to cast and snagged it off the top and chucked it in the water about 8-10 ft out. It was a Loomis GLX rod with a Calais reel on it.I said oh "you know" and one of the other guys swated their lure at it in the water and snagged the upper eyelet on first try and pulled it out. Rod was in the water about 2 seconds then back in the boat, that's about as close as I want to come to losing one, but too close for me.
That would have been a less than cheap donation in 80' of water.
Glad you got yours back.
