I was told that there is a drop off at the end of the Concrete Launch Ramp at the North End of Loon Pit. See the discussion about Bluegrass Pit's Concrete Launch Ramp.

Also the gravel launch ramp at the South end of Loon Pit is very shallow right now. I had my motor tilted up into the shallow water drive position and was still scraping the bottom of the Black Much as I tried to back off the trailer and out into the lake though the canal though the weeds.

So be careful when trying to launch from the South End of Loon Pit.

Otter pit's concrete launch ramp also has a drop off at the end of the concrete ramp. It will remain hazardous to launch for those that may not be aware of the situation. So try to warn others of this hole. May save them from doing some damage to the trailer or boat.

Smaller boats may not experience any problems but longer boats and trailers may drop off the end before the boat floats off the trailer. Your trailer or boat may vary .

We need a lot of rain quick if I am going to get to fish this fall.

I wonder what the conditions at the North End of Bluegrass Pit are like? Anyone in this forum launch from that end of Bluegrass and have any information on the conditions there?
