The GRL draw down schedule was changed 3 years ago. On September 15 the lake is slowly lowered from 675 to 674.5. Then on November 1 the main draw down will start. They will lower the lake to the winter pool level of 668. There was a time when the main draw down started October 15 and the lake was lowered to 664. The Corps of Engineers came up with a trial schedule 3 years ago. They are going to stay with the trial schedule therefore the new draw down starts November 1 and winter pool is 668.
