The biggest I've caught is from barren which was only about 3 pounds. I'm sure there are some big ones in Barren. I've only caught dinks in Nolin and Rough. Your next best bet would be Green.

I don't know about the rest of you but I love catching BIG spotted bass! I know on the ohio river i have caught many in the 2-3lb range and have caught some on rough and nolin that were nice but i was wondering if anybody has caught really good ones (2-4lb) on Barren, Green, Rough, or Nolin?

Green has some really good ones and they're really biting right now....my friend had one in the 4-5 range last winter
My biggest Spot ever was slightly over 4lb and came fro Barren off of a Lime buzzbait. I've caught alot of spots in between 2 and 3 pound. Barren has some pig Spots, and Dale has the best average size Spots in the state in my opinion, some real footballs.
I always wondered about green but i figured that barren would produce some flat slounches but I ve yet to catch one. Spot are like smallies in some ways because they're there one day and gone the next. I believe that there are plenty of 5lbers in Barren but they are so hard to really follow to actually catch more than one. Hey I don't know I could be wrong but I do love BIG SPOTS!!!![]()
4-13 on FNF at Dale Hollow. The last fish ever caught in my Buddys boat before he sold it, plus it gave me a comeback victory 7-6 for the day. One of THE if not THE prettiest fish I ever caught with beautiful lines.
Got to love those spots smalljaws and I bet there are bigger ones in there than that. But hey 4-13 some people never c a lm or sm that big let alone a SPOT. Congrats!!
Dale Hollow has a ton of spots and they all seemed to be shaped like footballs!
Two years ago, caught a spot at Green 4-11 on a senko. Few years before that, had one on a spinnerbait in March, 52 degree water, in 2 feet of water that measured 21 inches and was full of eggs, didn't weigh her. Both were caught in Robinson Creek.
i catch good spots on Barren by targeting Smallmouth kind of structure.... caught a nice 2 pounder this last monday... he hit that jerk bait like a freight train...
Cumberland has some toad spots but I can only seem to catch them in the winter, also dont forget about Laurel.
Ditto on Green. I have caught several in the 3 pound range there.
