Been catchin a few sauger and stripes, caught a pretty fair cat last week. As far as the lock wall I was ask by a guy in a golf cart up top to fish somewhere else once, but there was quite abit of barge traffic that day and he never said it was illegal...not to say it is legal I don't know.I also throw my cast net quite abit over on the ky. side well up into the canal with no problems. If you do find out the legality, please post...inquiring minds want to know..lol ChuckDoug man I am sorry ....we will go soon I am out of commision next week cause I gotta take care of my dad ,he is staying with us for a week and he is 80 and getting pretty bad but the week after that is open .Lets plan for then. How bout the Monday the 25th .I gotta get my kid at 2:45 so I can only fish until 2 .You got my number so gimme a call ole buddy

I fish for sauger and walleye quite a bit below the Greenup dam in spring and fall but haven't started looking for them yet. Will stop by the dam Thursday and try my luck and hopefully talk to a few who have been fishing. There are a few sauger caught all summer long along the walkway below the dam but not by me as I don't fish the hot weather. Was there about a month ag,talked to a fellow who got six jigging minnows along the wall.

I just went and got 2 dozen minnows, and I am going to give the stretch of beach I was talking about a try after work today. I don't expect to catch much, but what better way to burn a couple hours of daylight then sitting on the beach of the river, letting a couple lines soak?![]()
