Laurel River Lake-10/17

Put in at Marsh about 8:00 yesterday morning fished until 3 or so. Water temp was 66 at the ramp and cooler out on the lake. No boat traffic at all. I think I saw 3 boats all day. Had 4 short LMB, all on a watermelonseed shaky, all in 25'+ water. Not a great day for fishing but I really enjoyed being back out on the water.

Now...what made my day. I saw 2 eagles. One was diving down toward the water where fish were breaking and the other was just hanging out watching. It was very cool! Simply awesome creatures...

Yeah, we saw a bald eagle cruising around down at Green River Lake this weekend as well... a nice change of pace from the constant sight of vultures! Also saw a few deer swimming across the lake as well... got a kick out of watching them!
