I can tell you what he did do after his identity was questioned. He had a picture of himself holding a fish posted on his information page and he removed it. I WONDER WHY?!!!

I just clicked on there, and the picture was still there. Also, I am pretty sure that the "new guy" is not any of previous posters that have left or banned in the past.

Just for the record, I went back and re-read everything that was posted on here, and never did he attack anyones intellect - that was brought up by others, he just used the phrase "narrow minded." Bassin Bug - you are the one that brought up credentials/intellect, he did not.

WRONG! His PROFILE picture is not there, I just checked. His AVATAR picture is there with his back to the camera. He had posted a PROFILE picture of himself/someone facing the camera holding a bass. He was either wearing his cap backwards or had a rag on his head. Do you not know the difference between an avatar and a profile picture?

I did not bring up credentials/intellect, Big Gills asked about his credentials and it was her right to do so. My quote to him was, "And your qualifications are......?" I never accused him of attacking me. He is the one who said that spanking lowered the IQ of children and I wanted to know what qualified him to make that assessment.

If you feel self-anointed to critique everyone's posts, at least begin with your own and get your facts straight.

The reason I brought that up, is it is not the first time I remember you listing out you accomplishments, education, and degrees on here in defense of some argument you were defending, nor is it the first time I have seen you accuse someone on here being a former banned member. Actually the first doesn't bother me - I would be proud of a Ph D. in clinical psychology, and I would mention it as well. I respect your level of education, and I can see how that was relevant to this discussion - but you offered no professional insight to the discussion other than stating your degree and qualifications.

However, not all people that share different views from you or others on here, are the ones that got themselves banned- so please don't lump us all in the same category.

on a side note, i love how hostile everyone gets when a particular view doesn't fit their own. they turn to you have a lower IQ, you're a democrat (which is funny), etc...can you have a CIVIL conversation about a topic without getting angry and jump to such actions? geez...

My 2 have always known if they dont do what I say or if they are bad behind my back ( school or wherever ) there are concequinces. Most people dont follow through with a punishment and thats where the problem is imo. Kids need structure and guidance, not left alone with a television or playstation to keep them happy all the time. My kids have those things but are limited as to how much they get enertained by them. Im not sure what the I/Q around this house is but the one thing I know is when my wife or I tell our kids to do something it gets done without me having to take a belt to them! One more thing, if you should ever talk to my kids you will be told yes or no sir or maam when they answer you and they will hold a door open for anyone, burns my butt when they hold a door and the person doesnt say thank you and they get that alot, believe me.

thats awesome, and if i saw someone do that to a kid, they would get an earful, maybe even a fist. the part you said about tv and playstation is HUGE. not giving kids free range on such things and using them as reinforcers can help dramatically...

Dont the bible say to spare the rod will spoil the child? I have worked all my adult life with troubled children who were not disiplined correctally, then they wound up in state care in a juvie treatment center, for crimes like murder, rape, theft, arsom etc. I do not belive in beating anyone, but a little spank never hurt anyone, as far as the IQ thing goes Steve, even though my spelling is bad I have a very high IQ and I was spanked several times whne I was a child. When I was in school teachers had the right to spank and the classrooms were more controlled then than now, but now they jus give them ridlen to control them. I do live in the real world and see it every day as I am a social worker.
