I'm not into time out and all the latest views on how to discipline kids. My thought and practice is that spanking is fine and other discipline like taking away the fun things works well too.
Talking it out like I have seen so many parents do can really backfire but it works for some. Actually, IMO, there is no perfect way....all modes of discipline works here and there.
Islam shows it's true colors all the time but for some reason folks feel a need to try and justify their views and beliefs. I'm sure there are good Muslims and bad ones but I have found that most of what I read and hear makes me believe I could not endorse their ways.
I'm not PC and don't really care. I'm a man raised in the South regardless of my parents color and I was taught a certain way... Muslim views are so far away from what I learned.
