    Cumberland

Heading down to Cumberland this weekend and was hoping to get some kind of report from some of you that have been down there recently as far as where to target and what to use for some striper, walleye, or crappie action. Will more than likely be around the Conley Bottom area, but also interested in what is going on below the dam down on the river. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I will be sure to post my findings upon my return as well! Thanks~

Striper jumps occuring from around 7am to 8:30 or 9am around Jamestown and across from the mouths of Beaver and Otter.....3/4oz bucktails, white w/chartreuse and white grub. Good luck!

    Re: Cumberland

As promised, a report of my findings down at Cumberland... Another beautiful weekend to be out on the water. Was fishing the White Oak and Cub Creek areas and had marginal luck. Got into some nice slab crappie on minnows in the evenings and they were suspended in about 40-50 feet of water and were hanging out about 15 ft deep when I was catching them. Then was working some bottom rigs with worms trying to stir up a walleye, but only managed to pull up a few big cats and a few stripers. No huge stripers, but nice ones none-the-less. Then got into a couple largemouth on the steep bluff banks pulling a deep diving shad colored crankbait. All in all was a good weekend to be on the water. Anyone else have any decent luck down there this weekend? Any tips on where the walleye are hanging out this time of year and how to best target them?

Sounds like a productive trip, way to go! Not to much longer till the backs of those creeks will be teaming with stripers! Take care
