We didnt catch any big ones but had alot of bites, a bunch of swings and misses, and several old man 3lbers AKA 14 inch dinks. We had around 10 or 12, i lost 2 pretty decent ones at the boat. They were biting weird, wouldnt feel anything, then the line would swim off set the hook and nothing but a missing trailer off the jig. I let one fish run 25 ft because I got sick of missing and I missed him too. Old man had a good time but left his pain meds at home so we cut it off close to 1130 or so.Going to see if he can make a Rough trip before cold weather because we usually do really good there. One thing I want to mention is that several people offered help when we were trying to get him in the boat( thanks for the offer)and a few commented about how he must have wanted to fish bad with a walker there trying to get in a boat. It was heartbreaking to watch and help, I wont lie. Like Woody said seeing him do so many things forever and then things that would never cross your mind like just getting in a boat becomes a chore like a jigsaw puzzle if you put this here, swing this leg there scoot this side here things like that where just a year or two ago he would just jump in from the dock. I think the thing I missed most yesterday was his normal " Good lord hit the bank now, I gotta use the woods" and then upon his return 10 minutes later " shoulda used the lake, I set the woods on fire with that one" Kind of funny the goofy stuff that rolls through the mind when a routine is broke but anyway we had a really good time and thanks for the kind words in the other post about him.
