I caught 6 nice smallmouth in Lily Creek yesterday. Artificial minnow baits and in 12-18' of water. I think the fising at LC is just starting to turn on.

about this time last year we took minnows over there and caught 80-100 Ky's and smallmouth....a lot of them weren't very big but we did hang 3 or 4 keeper browns...were drifting them down the bluffier main lake banks and back in the first third of the pockets

So sounds like to me they have moved in shallower int he creeks chasing shad?

No, they havent exactly moved up yet. Try fishing under some floating docks in the upper end with a jig or shakey head. I about promise you to catch a KY..

Fished the South Central Tourny coming out of Conley Bottom this past weekend and fishing was tuff to say the least. Found some shad up shallow in the back of White Oak and was able to get a 14 inch largemouth but no keepers. Never could find any fish in the main lake pockets or main lake bluffs. I threw a jig most of the day with the exception of a spinnerbait early in the morning in the flats that I could find. All we caught was very small largemouth, we couldn't even get a kentucky to bite from under the docks on the main lake or in the bigger creeks. I'm not sure what won cause I left early, but from the looks of the bags going to weigh-in it took about 8 or 9 lbs to take it.

My brother and I were up there last week, and we caught a few smallies on mainlake points throwing spinnerbaits and jerks in 6-7ft of water. Nothing huge, one would have kept. Good luck!

Took 15 to win SC this Sunday. Weights dropped significantly though. 9 was second. Wind made it rough.

15 was a lot more than I thought would have taken it. I'm guessing that they had a couple good largemouth and the rest were tucks.

KR do you know who took it? What got big fish? I saw a largemouth headed to the scale that would have pushed 3

My buddy & I caught 9 fish Saturday. 7 small Spots & 1 short Smallmouth & I had one Smallmouth that went 18.25 inches & fat as mud. 3 jig fish & the rest came on a shakey head worm. Main lake. Tried Fishing Creek & never done any good at all.
